- Go to the Plugins > Add New screen in your WordPress dashboard.
- Search for “404 to homepage”. Click Install and activate it.
- That’s all! If you try accessing a page which does not exist, you will be redirected to the homepage.

According to my host, my site was being “probed” by automated bots accessing thousands of files which didn’t exist. I was able to fix it by installing this plugin since they now all redirect to the homepage instead of clogging my hosting logs with pointless 404/missing entries. Simple!
