Causes so many issues with other plugins. Place JS in a really terrible manner. No options to over ride JS. Multiple categories doesn’t work

I create account for review this plugin. Simply Fantastic!! This developer responds to support tickets and keeps the product updated. It does a great job!

Very simple to set up. I added the php code to my template no problem. Had it reading from “breaking news” category. I had it set to 8 posts. It ONLY ever showed the first 8 from when it was first added. When I added more posts, the ticker wouldn’t update. Sad b/c I really liked it and now have to hunt for another.

Tested in vanilla build and with all other plug-ins disabled. No longer works which is sad because this was a great plug-in! Let me know if it gets fixed and I’ll redo my review. 🙂

The settings save on the page you change them but do not show differences on the actual page.

Usually I reserve my 5-star ratings for plugins that are perfect, and while this plugin does need a few feature enhancements, mostly in improving flexibility in styling, it works very well and the developer is VERY responsive and does have plans that include such improvements (among others). I wanted a very simple ‘ticker’ to display post titles in one place in my theme, and this fit the bill very nicely – it does exactly that. It supports filtering by category, and also supports custom post types. It’s lightweight with little overhead and doesn’t slow my page load. You can specify how many post titles to display, whether to include the date or not, and some basic background color options and border options. The built-in widget doesn’t have as many options yet (but a future version will include that) but it was very simple to generate the shortcode with all of the options I wanted, and paste that into a text widget, which accomplished the same thing. All in all I’m happy with this plugin – it does a great job!
