Reading time is calculated based on a standard human reading speed of 130 words per minute. You cannot change this formula.

Kudos to the developer of this plugin!
After testing many post reading time plugins, this one — by far — performed the best.
It’s easy to install, offers a simple interface, and can be easily customized via CSS code.
Bonus: It includes a reading time clock icon that you can customize (i.e., change color).
