### External services

This plugin connects to the Semple API (api.semple.io) to deploy your generated 
static site archive.
 When a deployment is triggered by the user, the plugin securely
transmits the generated ZIP file of your static site to the Semple API. This service

## 설치

 1. Upload the `semple-deploy` folder to the `/wp-content/plugins/` directory.
 2. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress.
 3. Click on the “Semple Deployer” menu item in the WordPress admin sidebar.
 4. Click “Start Build” to compile your static site and download the ZIP archive for
    free.
 5. (Optional) Enter your Semple API Key and Site ID to enable 1-click deployments 
    to your Semple edge workspace.

## FAQ

### Does this plugin affect or modify my existing site?

No, absolutely not. Semple Sites Deploy is 100% non-destructive and operates strictly
in read-only mode:

 * **Zero Database Changes** – It never modifies your WordPress database, MySQL 
   tables, or site content.
 * **Zero File Overwrites** – It never alters or deletes your core WordPress files,
   active themes, plugins, or wp-config.php.
 * **Isolated Compilation** – It requests your published pages via HTTP, saves a
   clean static copy into an isolated folder within your uploads directory, and 
   packages it into a ZIP. Your live site remains completely untouched and fully
   functional.

### Can I download the ZIP file manually?

Yes! Once compilation is complete, a “Download ZIP” button will appear so you can
save the complete self-contained static site locally.

### Do I need a Semple account to use this plugin?

No. You can compile your site and download the static ZIP archive completely free
without an account. A Semple account is only required if you want to use the 1-click
deployment to the Semple Edge Network.

### Will the build process time out on larger sites?

No. Semple Sites Deploy utilizes an asynchronous micro-batch pipeline. It crawls
pages and downloads assets in sequential micro-batches over AJAX, avoiding PHP execution
timeouts and reverse-proxy gateway timeouts (504 / 524).

### Does it support visual builders like Elementor, Divi, and Gutenberg?

Yes. Because the crawler renders the final HTML output of your site, it captures
all compiled CSS, scripts, Google fonts, and media assets generated by Gutenberg
blocks, Elementor, Divi, and other visual page builders.

### Does it support Custom Post Types (CPTs)?

Yes. All publicly queryable post types (pages, posts, portfolios, custom post types)
are automatically discovered and exported into clean static routes.

### What happens to /wp-content/ and WordPress directory paths?

To enhance security and minimize platform footprint, all internal asset paths are
automatically rewritten: uploads become /media/, plugins become /modules/, themes
become /assets/, and core scripts become /core/. Standard generator tags and comment
forms are also removed.

### How do dynamic features like contact forms and search work on static sites?

Static HTML does not run PHP forms or database queries. For contact forms, you can
embed third-party serverless form endpoints (such as Formspree, Basin, or Semple
Forms). For site search, client-side tools like Pagefind or Algolia can be used.

### What can I do with the downloaded ZIP archive?

The downloaded ZIP is a self-contained, production-ready static website. You can
use it as an immutable offline archive, test it locally, or host it on your own 
server. For instant global distribution with zero server configuration, you can 
deploy it directly to the Semple Edge Network in one click.
