Upload the plugin files to `/wp-content/plugins/t4p-dashboard-notes/`, or install it through the WordPress Plugins screen. 2. Activate the plugin through **Plugins Installed Plugins**. 3. Go to your **Dashboard** and click **“Add Note”**. 4. Edit the title, add text, choose a background color, and save. ## FAQ ### Can I show notes only to administrators? Yes. Dashboard notes appear only for logged-in users with access to the dashboard( typically Editors, Admins, or custom roles depending on your site). ### Can I export or back up notes? Yes. Notes are saved as custom post types and included in normal site backups. ### Will this slow down my dashboard? I haven't found a single bug, glitch, or flaw with it—it just works, and it works incredibly well. If I could offer one small piece of feedback to the developers, it would be to consider tweaking the plugin's title in the repository to something like "Dashboard Notes T4P". I spent a really long time looking for a reliable dashboard note system, and putting "Dashboard Notes" right at the beginning of the name might help more people find this hidden gem much faster when searching the plugin directory!
