PDF View Link for Formidable Forms

This plugin adds a “Download View PDF” button to the entry actions dropdown in Formidable Forms, allowing users to download formatted PDF versions of form entries using your custom PDF Views.

IMPORTANT: This plugin requires a complete Formidable Forms setup including Pro license, Forms to PDF Add-on, and custom PDF Views to function.

Requirements

• WordPress 5.0 or higher
• Formidable Forms Pro (active license required)
• Formidable Forms Forms to PDF Add-on (must be installed and activated)
• At least one PDF View created in Formidable Forms
• Form entries to test with

Installation & Complete Setup

STEP 1: Install Required Plugins

1. Install and activate Formidable Forms Pro (requires valid license)
2. Install and activate the Forms to PDF Add-on
3. Install and activate this plugin

STEP 2: Create a PDF View

1. If you haven’t yet, go to Formidable → Forms and create a new form (or use an existing one)
2. To customize how you want the form data displayed in PDF, go to Formidable → Views and click “Add New”
3. Create a new View to serve as your PDF template
4. Using the built-in View Layout builder, start designing your layout however you like
5. Add the form fields you want to appear in your PDF
6. Click “Save Layout” when you are done designing
7. Publish the view (very important – drafts won’t work!)
8. Note the View ID – you’ll see it in the Views list or in the URL when editing

STEP 3: Configure This Plugin

1. Go to Formidable → PDF View Settings
2. Enter your PDF View ID from Step 2
3. Click “Save Changes”

STEP 4: Test the Functionality

1. Go to Formidable → Entries
2. Click on any entry to view its details
3. Look for “Download View PDF” button in the entry actions dropdown (top-right area)
4. Click to download your formatted PDF

Where to Find the PDF Button

The PDF download button appears in the entry actions dropdown when viewing individual form entries. This dropdown is typically in the upper-right corner of the entry details page, next to other actions like “Edit Entry” or “Delete Entry”.
