The plugin connects your WordPress website to the Vigidomaine platform and displays domain monitoring information, threat indicators and security alerts directly within your WordPress administration interface. #### Why domain monitoring matters Cybercriminals frequently register lookalike domains to impersonate legitimate organizations, steal credentials, distribute malware or launch phishing campaigns. Examples for the well known domain `google.com`: * `gooogle.com` * `g00gle.com`*` google-login.com` These domains may appear legitimate to customers, partners or employees while being controlled by an attacker. Traditional security tools such as firewalls, WAFs, EDRs and XDRs protect your infrastructure. They do not generally monitor third-party domains registered on the Internet to impersonate your organization. Vigidomaine complements these existing protections by continuously monitoring external domain activity related to your brand and domain names. #### Advanced typosquatting and brand monitoring Vigidomaine relies on more than 20 detection strategies dedicated to domain-based threats, including: * Typosquatting detection * Brand impersonation monitoring * Homoglyph and Unicode abuse detection * Newly registered domain monitoring * SSL certificate monitoring * Domain permutation analysis * Suspicious TLD monitoring* Threat intelligence correlation This approach allows organizations to identify suspicious domains before they are actively used in phishing, fraud or malware campaigns. #### Compliance and Threat Intelligence Vigidomaine supports cybersecurity monitoring and cyber threat intelligence initiatives by providing visibility into threats targeting domain names and brands. Vigidomain is a first-party service operated by the plugin author. No data is sent until you click “Connect” in the plugin settings and start the setup process. This action is the explicit consent required before complete site information is transmitted. The external service is used for: * Registering and linking your WordPress installation to your Vigidomain account * Checking your Vigidomain account email verification status * Fetching domain security scores, status, and metrics for the dashboard * Retrieving and syncing the list of monitored domains * Retrieving active security alerts Data sent to the service, by endpoint: ``` /pre-register — called only after user consent, when the user starts the connection setup. Sends: ``` * Site home URL and site URL * Site server IP address (from SERVER_ADDR, or resolved from SERVER_NAME) * Site name, WordPress version, PHP version, site language, HTTPS status * Full list of installed plugins: name, version, active status (all plugins, not just active ones) * Debug status: whether WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_LOG are enabled* HTTPS usage status * Available update counts: core, plugin, theme * Site domain ( parsed from the home URL) * WordPress admin account email, first name, last name, display name (fallback), locale ``` /register — called when the user submits the registration form.
