External Services
SilverStream Invoicing connects to the SilverStream Digital licence server solely to validate Pro and Business licence keys. This only occurs when a user manually enters a licence key on the Licence page in Settings. No client data, invoice data or personal information is ever transmitted. Only the licence key and the site domain name are sent for validation purposes.

Does this plugin require WooCommerce or any other plugin?

No. SilverStream Invoicing is completely standalone and works independently of WooCommerce or any other plugin.

Where is my data stored?

All data is stored securely in your own WordPress database. No invoice data, client data or financial information is ever sent to external servers.

Does the free version expire?

No. The free version is free forever with unlimited invoices, quotes and clients. No time limits and no credit card required.

How does PDF generation work?

SilverStream Invoicing renders a clean, professional HTML invoice in the browser. Click the Print / Save PDF button and use your browser’s built-in print-to-PDF. Works on Chrome, Firefox, Edge and Safari. No external library required.

What currencies are supported?

Any currency. Set your preferred currency symbol in Settings. Works worldwide.

Does it support tax and VAT?

Yes. Set a default tax rate in Settings. Tax can be enabled or disabled per invoice and quote individually. The tax amount is shown as a separate line on all documents.

Can I upgrade to Pro or Business later?

Yes. Purchase a licence at silverstreamdigital.co.za/ssd-invoicing and enter your key under SilverStream Invoicing Settings Licence. All existing data is preserved when you upgrade.

Can clients accept quotes online?

Yes. Each quote has a unique secure link. Your client clicks it and can accept the quote or request changes — no login or password required.

Does it work with Divi, Elementor or other page builders?

Yes. The plugin runs entirely within the WordPress admin dashboard and does not affect your front-end theme or page builder.

Can I send invoices and quotes by email?

Yes. Configure your SMTP settings under Settings or use your hosting server’s default mail. Click the email button on any invoice or quote to send it directly to your client.
