워드프레스 알림판에서
- ‘플러그인 > 새로 추가’ 방문
- ‘비비프레스’ 검색
- 플러그인 페이지에서 비비프레스를 활성화합니다. (환영 페이지가 표시됩니다.)
WordPress.org에서
- 비비프레스를 다운로드합니다.
- ‘bbpress’ 디렉토리를 ‘/wp-content/plugins/’ 디렉토리에 원하는 방법(ftp, sftp, scp 등)을 사용하여 업로드합니다.
- 플러그인 페이지에서 비비프레스를 활성화합니다. (환영 페이지가 표시됩니다.)
활성화 된 경우
- ‘포럼 &t; 새로 추가’로 이동하여 포럼을 만듭니다. (나중에 언제든지 삭제할 수 있습니다.)
- 예쁜 퍼머링크를 사용 설정한 경우 example.com/forums/를 방문하고, 예쁜 퍼머링크를 사용 설정하지 않은 경우 example.com?post_type=forum을 방문하세요.
- ‘설정; 포럼’으로 이동하여 커뮤니티의 요구사항에 가장 적합한 설정을 구성하세요.
- 비비프레스로 변환할 기존 포럼이 있는 경우 ‘도구; 포럼; 포럼 가져오기’로 이동합니다.
구성 완료
- 비비프레스에는 강력한 테마 호환성 API가 제공되어 거의 모든 워드프레스 테마에 적합한 모양과 느낌을 주기 위해 최선을 다합니다. 모든 것이 깔끔하게 보이도록 일부 스타일을 직접 조정해야 할 수도 있습니다.
- 사이트에 더 적합하도록 등록/활성화/로그인/비밀번호 분실 흐름을 사용자 정의할 수 있습니다. 비비프레스에는 이를 가능하게 하는 다양한 단축 코드가 포함되어 있습니다(https://codex.bbpress.org/shortcodes/).
- 비비프레스에는 매우 인기 있고 강력한 두 가지 워드프레스 플러그인인 아키스밋과 버디프레스도 기본으로 지원됩니다. 두 플러그인을 사용하는 경우 포럼 설정 페이지를 방문하여 연동이 올바르게 표시되는지 확인하세요.

Tried to install: keymaster issue (so, cannot work at all).
fixed keymaster issue with bbp style plugin (a plugin to fix another plugin looks insane), now blank page.
tried to fix also this via bbp plugin, a lot of graphical glitch and shortcode not parsed.
atm (from some years now) is really unusable.

On 8 inch tablet, single topic page layout is consisted of 2 columns, this layout is same as BBPress page you see on PC’s bigger screen. BBPress’ 1 column layout you see on mobile phones should be applied on Tablets like iPads as well! You see 1 column layout BBPress topic page on this Official Wordpress.org forum pages already. Hope they officially change the BBPress topic page layout to 1 column soon and let us download new version of it.

I needed a tool to convert a phpBB forum to Wordpress and this plugin did a great job. More than 1000 users, all forums and topics with answers were imported in a few minutes without a single error. It’s a cool plug-in for me.

Just use the miriad of forum software that’s still being maintained out there. This hasn’t been touched in 2 years. If automatic don’t bother updating it why would I bother installing it?
and don’t tell me the software is already perfect cos it barely works if the planets align.

I tried out several forums and bbPress was the only one that worked for me. I can’t remember what I was trying to do at the time, but maybe I was trying to delete users and not get error messages from the forum plugin. bbPress worked without problems.
I did have to do some work to make the forum look nicer in appearance. But after that bbPress works perfectly.
