FAQ

What post types are supported?

By default, the calendar shows standard posts. You can enable pages and custom post types in Settings.

Can multiple authors use the calendar?

Yes! All users with the “edit_posts” capability can access the calendar.

Does drag & drop change the publication date?

Yes. When you drag a post to a different day, its publication date is updated immediately.

What is the backlog on the right?

Every draft without a publication date. Drag one onto a day to schedule it, and it leaves the backlog. It is the fastest way to turn a pile of ideas into an actual plan.

Can I stop other people from moving my posts around?

The calendar respects WordPress capabilities: someone can only move a post they are allowed to edit. Contributors see the calendar but cannot reschedule other people’s work.

Does it change anything on my site’s front end?

No. This is an editorial tool: it only touches the admin. Nothing is enqueued on the public side and no markup is added to your pages.

Can I filter the calendar?

Yes, by category, author and status, and there is a search box. Useful once several people publish on the same site.

Can I colour posts by category instead of status?

Yes. In Settings, switch the colour mode to “By category”. You can also choose what each card shows — author, category, thumbnail — and set your own status colours.

Does it work with custom post types?

Yes. Enable them in Settings and they appear on the calendar alongside posts.

Will scheduling a post from the calendar actually publish it?

Yes, through the normal WordPress scheduling mechanism. A post dropped on a future date is scheduled, and WP-Cron publishes it at the configured time.

변경이력

1.0.9

  • The admin menu and settings page still said “Editorial Calendar” after the plugin was renamed; both now say “Content Planner”.

1.0.8

  • The review prompt now waits for real usage: it only appears on the plugin screens, once at least five posts have been rescheduled from the calendar, and it states how many.

1.0.7

  • Removed the bundled translation files (.po/.mo) from the package; translations are delivered automatically through translate.wordpress.org.

1.0.6

  • Unified all PHP, option, hook and JavaScript global names under a single tidy_content_planner prefix to prevent conflicts with other plugins.

1.0.5

  • Hardening: REST endpoints now restrict listings and stats to posts the current user can edit, and enforce the proper capabilities before assigning privileged statuses (publish, scheduled, private) or reassigning authors.
  • The uncompiled JavaScript source (src/) and package.json are now included in the plugin, with build instructions in the readme.

1.0.4

  • Removed an unused isPremium flag from the calendar config (no functional change).

1.0.3

  • WordPress.org coding-standards hardening: translators comment for an i18n placeholder (Plugin Check compliance).

1.0.2

  • Removed the load_plugin_textdomain() call; translations are now loaded automatically by WordPress.org since WP 4.6.

1.0.1

  • Free release: removed all licensing UI; Pro features now ship as a separate companion plugin.
  • Added action hooks tidy_content_planner_settings_top and tidy_content_planner_settings_after_form for extensibility.

1.0.0

  • Initial release
